Achievements

Achievements are individual challenges that can be completed by the player in the Hearts of Iron 4 mod, Old World Blues.

Achievements have no in-game effects; the achievement pops up in-game once earned or unlocked. They are categorized via stars, ranging from 1 to 4 stars.

The following list groups achievements as they are presented in-game.

	Big Iron		Play as The Desert Rangers Send volunteers to fight in a war other than their own	As The Desert Rangers, send volunteers.
	I love Democracy		Play as The Republic of Rio Grande Elect a new Presidente	As The Republic of Rio Grande, elect a new Presidente
	Better Living Underground		Play as Vault City Conquer Arroyo	As Vault City, conquer Arroyo.
	The Master's New Army		Play as New Reno and get Thradd in Charge.	Form Thradd's Legion and form a faction with The Troll Warren.
	Crossing the Rubicon		Play as Ceasars Legion.	Own the State called "New Vegas"

	Prove Hanlon Wrong		Play as The New California Republic.	Own Hoover Dam and end the Legion.

Behind the scenes

• "Pretty Fly" may be a reference to The Offspring's 1998 song Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)".
• "Big Iron" may be a reference to the 1959 Marty Robbins song Big Iron.
• "I love Democracy" may be a reference to the same line uttered by Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine in Star Wars: Episode III, in an act of taking emergency power to become the Galactic Emperor.
• "Unlimited Power!" may also be a reference atributed to Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine from Star Wars: Episode III, this time during his heroic resistance against his would be assasin Jedi Master Mace Windu.
• "Better Living Underground" is the slogan the Vault-Tec Corporation used to promote Vault living.
• "Crossing the Rubicon" refers to both Gaius Julius Caesar's conquest of Gaul by crossing the Rubicon river, and Caesar (Edward Sallow)'s attempted conquest of the Mojave, by way of crossing the Colorado River.
• "Et tu, Brute?" refers to Julius Caesar's famous last words from the Shakespearian play Julius Caesar, which translates to "And you, Brutus?," showing Caesar's dismay in seeing Brutus taking part in his assassination and betrayal.
• "Till Love do us Part" is a parody of "Till Death do us Part", a phrase from the marriage liturgy in the Book of Common Prayer.
• "We hold these truths to be self evident..." may be a reference to a sentence from the preamble to the United States Declaration of Independence.
• "Highway to Hell" may be a reference to the 1979 song by hard rock band AC/DC or the album released later that year under the same name.
